Why rechargeable
Rechargeable products perform more consistently and last longer.
Battery-powered products have a fundamental limitation: motor power drops as the batteries drain, which means performance at the end of a charge is noticeably weaker than at the start. Rechargeable products maintain consistent power output across the full charge cycle. They also tend to be designed with better sealing (since the charging port needs to be waterproof), which generally means a more durable, water-resistant product overall.
- Consistent power output throughout the full charge — battery products lose strength as they drain.
- USB-C and magnetic charging make recharging simple — same charger as most phones and headphones.
- Better waterproofing as a side effect of needing sealed charging ports.
- No ongoing battery cost — a rechargeable product pays for itself quickly versus disposable batteries.
